So… got my new desk and new iMac set up – ready to begin blogging regularly once again.
Awesome new computer is awesome! Not sure about the stock apple keyboard it came with though… its only been few days and the white keys on the keyboard already appear dirty. May need to look into an alternate keyboard or a cover for this one. Also having issues with moving my iTunes library from my old pc laptop onto the iMac – note to self: just google it.
News today reports that the Royal Baby will be born any minute now! Holding my breath for updates!
My parents went home yesterday – they were visiting for the past week. I miss them already! Cannot wait till they retire and are able to spend more time down here.
Saw the new Kevin Hart movie last night – hilarious shit – thought I was going to pee my pants – he is seriously one funny dude!
Today is my rest day – cheers to health, wealth, and happiness! *raises glass*

Yeap… that’s right folks. I gotz me a new JAY O’ BEE.
I’m back in the technical support field again. Answering calls, providing great customer service and supplying my hard earned knowledge to the public at large. *Oh man, we are all in trouble now!* I always find it nerve-wracking beginning a new job – starting a new journey per say – but I remain confident that things will soon click into place for me. With all the previous jobs I’ve worked before, it’s a given fact that once I hit the 3-month mark, I’ll be an old pro at this new job. I’m already in my first month so everything is still fairly new and the pressure’s on, but bring it baby – I am ready!
For the past two years, I have been slaving away working two part-time jobs. I never intended to work two jobs for so long, but given how the economy has been these last few years, I’m so glad to say that I am now working only one. It was a hard decision to make at first. I contemplated keeping one of my part-time jobs as a cushion. If things didn’t work out at the new job, I had something to fall back on. In the end, I decided against it, realizing that the second job would eventually move away from being a cushion and turning into a crutch. A wise man once told me that in working two jobs, you never fully give your all to either job. That your loyalty and focus are split between the two. Another wise man also told me that successful people are never afraid of change.

So my parents will be here tomorrow! Words cannot even express how excited I am! I cannot wait to see them! They are leaving early tomorrow morning from my hometown in upstate New York and are driving straight through to SC. It bothers me that they drive, but it appears to be their preferred mode of travel. My mother despises how ‘rushed’ she feels when flying, and truth be told, I do not disagree with her. Their 12 hour (+ or -) trip should bring them to my house around 9pm tomorrow night.
Mom and Dad will be here for a week, yet I was unable to request any time off from work. The only full day we have to spend together will be Monday – Memorial Day. My older brother and his family are also coming down from Maryland for the weekend, but alas, I will be at work. Oh well, I’m sure my parents will have their hands full with their grandchildren!
With my parents coming to town, I have been quite busy cleaning the house. My two spare bedrooms had to be aired out and cleaned up for both my parents, and my older brother and his wife. Both rooms were very stuffy since I keep the doors closed from lack of use. My master bedroom is a completely different story! It’s going to take hours to tackle that beautiful mess!
I planned to spend my day off today finishing up the house, yet I have spent the entire day in front of the computer! I started the day updating the music on my phone – which I actually started last night and finished this morning. Then I wasted the rest of the day on the interwebs. (I do have to say that the outcome from American Idol shocked me!) It is now 8pm and I haven’t done a damn thing all day! Ha! – have I mentioned that ‘procrastination‘ is my middle name? Time to finish up my day…

Aahh….the dreaded introduction….
An occasioned reader may be sure to find mindless ranting and raving here in regards to books, movies, music, TV shows, and about life in general. One may also find random postings of funny (or not) videos or websites I’ve come across from the interwebs. Most importantly, (more so to myself) what currently has captured my attention and consequently has become my latest obsession.
Without a doubt, I truly and irrevocably have an addictive personality – hence the title of my blog. My obsessions tend to govern and take control of my life, leaving me feel a sort of insanity. My attention is fully captured. My thoughts never waver. My life becomes this bubble, where all current experiences can be tied someway or another into my said obsession.
So I caution….please enter at your own risk. My obsessions tend to come and go. All good things must come to an end. But I hope that the passion I feel at the moment brings pleasure to your life at it has mine! Good times dude…..good times!
